Who we are
Airborne Critters is made by Rocket Shell Games in Canada. Questions about privacy? Email us at [email protected].
This website
Beta sign-up. When a parent or other adult signs up, we keep:
- their email address
- what their family plays on (iPhone or iPad, Android, or both)
- their country
- when they signed up, and that they ticked the two boxes (that they're an adult, and that they want emails about the beta)
We use this only to tell you about the Airborne Critters beta and to send the beta news you asked for. We don't sell it or share it with anyone else. It's stored with Cloudflare, the company that hosts this site. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. We delete your details when the beta is over, or sooner if you ask.
Visiting the site. We don't use cookies, analytics or ads. Our fonts and pictures come from this site, not from other companies. Like any website, our host (Cloudflare) sees your IP address to deliver the pages, but we don't keep it.
The game
The game has no ads and no chat. Players only connect through friend codes, and nothing anyone types is ever sent or shown to others.
Online leaderboards. When the game is connected to the internet, it sends our leaderboard server:
- a random player number the game makes up
- your player name, made from word lists
- your own friend code
- for each run: your score, the world and critter you played, how long the run lasted, when you played it, the game's version, and the kind of device (like iPhone or Android)
We use these only to show the weekly, all-time and friends leaderboards. They're stored with Cloudflare. When you open the friends leaderboard, the game also sends the friend codes you've added, so we can pick which scores to show, but we don't keep them.
We don't collect IP addresses, device IDs, emails or real names in the game. Like any website, our host (Cloudflare) sees your IP address to deliver each request, but we don't keep it. Tap Delete my scores in the game's Settings to remove your name and scores from our server.
Your progress (coins, rubies, critters, skins, achievements, daily rewards and settings) and your friend list stay on your device. There's no cloud backup yet, so deleting the game deletes them too.
Purchases. The game doesn't sell anything yet. If we add purchases later, Apple or Google will handle the payment, and we'll never see card details. We'll update this policy before that happens.
Children
Airborne Critters is made for kids. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and only adults may sign up for the beta. If you think a child has sent us their information, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, fix or delete the information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
